KCRW had a gem of a program called
Morning Glory
on Sundays from 5 - 6am. It was all old gospel and blues and I got a bigger lift from that in my LA years than any single church I attended in that time period.
I recently created an Inez Andrews station on
Pandora
to recapture the feel of those mornings and heard a version of
God Will Take Care Of You
. Oftentimes I wonder at how hard my life seems to me and keep coming back to this idea that the main reason it seems hard is because I can't shake the perception that I'm somehow in control of things.

I've also been thinking a lot lately about the idea of control - and our lack of it. It is so difficult to give up. Thanks for this reminder.
