We caught a museum guide doing a discussion of Edward Hopper's
Nighthawks
. The same painting hangs in our house although it was by Kristin's fine choice inspired by a trip to Kansas City's Nelson Atkins if I recall correctly.
A few things strike me about Hopper: lack of proper recognition until he was in his early 40s and that he was inspired in many paintings by what he read.

I love Hopper. If only the world of art prints were more extensive and more of his work were available to buy!
