Loves It: Tuthill Edition
Looking east on my way to work I pass Tuthill Park. We live up the hill, in line with where you see the sun rising1. The Big Sioux River is frozen solid now and hence the track marks from winter play. In the summer people kayak and canoe in it.

I like how where we live takes some of the stereotypes of South Dakota and obscures them: our area is heavily wooded, the hill makes for modest form of physical geography where people think of prairie, and the river is a part of life since we cross it every day.

The last Loves It day so be sure to check Moalos and Gresu

1Short days in winter can be a drag but one offset I enjoy is that I get to see sunrise nearly every day.
