The year is almost up and I'm doing some reflection of my own; I'm one of those annoying people with resolutions, goals, and the sense that one can if not master then influence their destiny

State of the Onion
before New Year's Eve.

Blame it on my father who would take us on an annual New Year's picnic for retrospection and repentance. My brand is a little different but our premise is the same.

I wonder if Lael will continue the
State of the Onion
. It's not the most pleasant burden to carry around, but I hope it will be something she looks back upon the way I do.
